Brush Chipping Services
Beginning June 1, 2012 the City will required the residents to contact the Water Office Personnel at
883-1452 or visit www.marlintx.net and request service using the “Let Us Know” section on the website. There is a 1 month rotation between 3 sections of town and the map and sections are listed below.
Chipper/Brush Service is provided to active water account holders only that have or will have trees and/or shrubs on the property and will appear on your monthly water bill.
$2.00 monthly fee for said chipping service for residential and ¾” water meter commercial customers.
$2.00 per month fee for every apartment within an apartment complex.
$3.00 per month fee for active water customers outside the City Limits that request service in writing:
a. minimum fee of $50 for contract chipping that takes 15 minutes or less;
b. the fee for commercial customers with meters larger than ¾” shall be determined on a case
by case basis by City Manager; and
c. the contract rate shall be $100 per hour.
d. all governmental entities;
e. commercial customers that hire yard maintenance personnel/contract labor and include the
removal of all landscape debris may request an exemption in writing.
City requires the brush intended for chipping to be piled between the sidewalk and the curbing. DO NOT OBSTRUCT SIDEWALK.
Inactive customers may contract with the City at contract rate of $100.00 per hour.
City requires all customers that hire yard maintenance personnel/contract labor to remove all landscape debris or contract with the City at the contract rate.
a. Exception for Single Family Residential Units – brush that can be chipped within 15 minutes or
less will be chipped at the regular monthly rate.
City requires customers that clear overgrown lots to dispose of the debris or contract with the City at the contract rate.
Failure to pay monthly chipping service fees timely, may result in late payment fees and water service being disconnected.
