Rose Morin was elected to office in November 2011 to serve an unexpired term for Councilmember of Precinct 2.  She was unopposed in the May 2012 Election and is currently serving Councilmember for Precinct 2.

Councilmember Morin was born and raised in Marlin and graduated from Marlin High School and attended McLennen Community College.

Mrs. Morin previously serve on the Marlin Independent School District Board, Falls County Appraisal Board and Falls County Hispanic Organization.

Councilmember Morin currently serves as a volunteer at the Samaterian House, with the Meals On Wheels Program and interprets where there is a need for spanish translations.

Rose is semi-retired, serves as a substitute teacher for the Marlin ISD and cares for her mother.  She attends Primiera Iglesia Bautista Church and serves on the Church Committee as well as Sunday School Teacher, Secretary and Pianist.

Mrs. Morin is happily married to husband Claxito with one daughter, Renee Rodriguez and one son Ronnie Rodriguez.  They share 3 grand-daughters, 3 grand-sons, 3 great grand-sons and one great grand-daughter.

"My time with family especially the grand children is so greatly enjoyed.  My desire is to give back to the community by serving and make a difference."

In addition, she enjoys reading, playing piano and music, studing history and caring for her plants.
