Doris Kluck began her employment with the City in 1967 and worked through 1970 leaving the City to raise her children. During that time she worked for the Marlin Democrat, Marko Oil and operated her own business of cosmetology. She returned to the Permit and Water Office in June of 2001.
Doris is the Permit Clerk as well as a customer service representative for the Water Utilities Office. She is in her 11th year of service with the City.
She is a member of the First United Methodist Church and assists with bake sales, luncheons and the Methodist Youth Fellowship.
Mrs. Kluck is a Marlin High School graduate as well as attending Durham Business College and A&C Cosmetology School. She owned and operated a salon for 27 years.
Her hobbies include embroidery, sewing, word puzzles, cooking & baking, and enjoys collecting chickens and roosters.
Doris and husband Terry have 3 daughters, Christy, Addie and Tasha and 1 son, Tash. Doris was an active parent involved with the Band, FFA Booster Club, PTA as president and vice-president, and working concession stands throughout her children’s school years.
She also enjoys her 4 granddaughters, Meghan, Cassie, Chesney, and Tavin and 2 grandsons, Robert and Logan. And there’s one on the way.
Doris says “I have lived here all my life and I love it.”
