Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission makes decisions or recommendations to the City Council regarding the Comprehensive Plan, Development Code, zoning regulations, long-range planning, zoning changes, platting, and other development-related policies as required or permitted by State law or Council policy.

The Planning and Zoning Commission serves a dual function as the Board of Adjustment. They have final approval on Variances and Exceptions. The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council, which has final approval authority.

All applications must be submitted at least 30 calendar days prior to the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting at which they will be considered.  All applications should be submitted to the:
