Justin Parker was appointed as Fire Chief in January 2014. He gained employment with the City of Marlin Fire Department in early 2008 and relocated to Marlin shortly thereafter. Justin E. Parker spent his early years on a dairy farm in the Johnson County, Texas community of Godley. During childhood, he developed a passion for the fire service and helping others in need. He began his emergency services career in 2000, as a junior firefighter, with the Godley Fire Department in Johnson County, Texas. At the time, he was fifteen years old and a sophomore at Godley High School. He left briefly from 2009 to 2010 for a one year employment term with the Hewitt Fire Department. Since his return to Marlin, he has served in various fire department positions before gaining appointment as Fire Chief/EMC. As a Marlin area resident and Fire Chief, he is committed to providing the citizens and visitors of our community with quality and professional service. Chief Parker is also extremely devoted to ensuring a high level of safety for our firefighters.

Justin's interest include Country, Bluegrass & Western Swing Musician (multi-instrumentalist), Guitar repair ,Agriculture (dairy production), Rodeo.
Chief Parker is happily married and has a four year old daughter.
